Is All Quiet on the Western Front good enough to win Best Picture at the 95th Oscar? All quiet on the wester front is quite a fascinating movie that reflects the horrors attached to wars. It’s an enjoyable movie, as every bit of it is not just beautiful but intriguing, and exciting.
It’s a movie that will make you feel compassionate for war heroes. Just like the lead character of the movie, Paul. He believes going to war will make his father see him as a brave son and also a hero. Hoping to also get more respect from his kinsmen. The subtle editing and cuttings flows together and gel smoothly as the whole story unfolds. The editor(s) did truly put in a lot of effort towards making this a beautiful work.
A major aspect of the post – production unit that cannot be overlook is the convincing ways the sound composer blend the story with some good sound designs, which transit and unfolds the terrors and horrors each scenes behold.
We haven’t seen that in a movie in a short while. How the sound designers and composers each sound to fully immerse the spectator in the scene and the action as it happens. Without a question, it’s a good filmmaking approach that deserves praise. The colorist did a wonderful job by making the movie feel moody. Revealing what each scenes has to offer with a moody texture makes the movie stand out emotionally, horror like and beautiful.
